Our History
Family Owned Business...
Scautub Agency is a family owned business that has built it’s foundation in Schenectady, New York and has served the community for over 80 years.
80 Years and Counting...
Scautub Agency opened it’s doors in 1926 in downtown Schenectady. The agency got it’s start in the Schenectady Auto Club, which is where John Healey joined the agency in 1956. His devotion to serving Schenectady helped later lead him to become the sole owner and president of the company in 1969. His dedication to providing and meeting each of his client’s individual needs helped build Scautub’s reputation as a client-friendly company whose main goal was to provide the best insurance possible to their clients.
Today's Management...
Over the years, the company has been passed down to Mr. Healey’s son, Stephen Healey and Mark Massaroni, and later to Mr. Healey’s daughter, Donna Segatto, who remains president of the company to this day, with Mark Massaroni still a partner in the agency. Although Mr. Healey has since retired, his original dedication to his customers remains intact as he has passed on his key principles of hard work, dedication, and integrity to his children, thus allowing the company to continue to grow and prosper in the community over the past several decades.
