Whether you have lived in Saratoga Springs for years or are just planning to visit for a weekend, the Saratoga Race Track is likely on your list of places to visit. Over the summer, this track comes alive with thrilling horse races as world class thoroughbreds speed along.
People have been waiting for months for the track to finally open, and Opening Day is almost here! On July 24th, the season kicks off. Gates open at 11:00 a.m., and the first race post time is at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 for grandstand admission and $8 for clubhouse admission. Kids 12 and under get in free! Whether you want to be in the thick of it, right next to the track, or would rather set up a picnic blanket or lawn chairs and watch the races from large screens, this race track will have something for you.

To celebrate Opening Day, there will be live music, a Saratoga hat contest, and more at the Hats Off To Saratoga Festival. Held across downtown Saratoga Springs and at the Saratoga Race Course, this event will be held in the evenings on July 24th and 25th.
